BRRRAIN is a memecoin with a use. That use depends on parties and code you should know about.
The token
- Its price can fall to zero. The staked NEAR does not back it: it is never redeemable for tokens.
- Your ⚡ depends on the credits the stake earns and on how many tokens others hold; it is not a fixed amount.
- Trades on Rhea pay a trading tax in BRRRAIN. Its admin can change it at any time, up to 5 % a side; the cap is in the code. A sell needs a slippage setting above the sell tax, or Rhea refuses it and the tokens come back.
NEAR AI
- NEAR AI sets how its farm turns stake into credits (it follows NEAR's price and the staking rate) and can change it.
- The daily ⚡ follows how much NEAR is staked. Stakers can withdraw at any time; when they do, the ⚡ shrinks.
- It can stop serving our organisation or unlink the farm. Then the API stops answering until it is restored; tokens and the stake stay as they are on chain.
Staking
- Staking earns no NEAR; the only return is BRRRAIN from trading fees and the trading tax.
- Claimed rewards unlock over 30 days; a claim within a day of the last one joins it and unlocks from the later claim. Taking them sooner burns 80 % of the part still locked, and the burn cannot be undone.
- Getting staked NEAR back takes 2–4 days, longer if many leave at once. stake.dao can pause withdrawals; exits then wait.
- The staking contract's account holds a full-access key, kept by the team, so it can sign in to NEAR AI. That key could move all the staked NEAR, community stake included, and can change the contract's code.
The lock
- Locked BRRRAIN cannot be sold or moved before the end of its term, whatever the price does. There is no early exit.
- Lock rewards are BRRRAIN, whose price can fall; a rate in tokens says nothing about dollars.
- The ⚡ share you keep is fixed for the term unless you raise it; you cannot lower it. Raising it gives up part of the reward.
- The rate falls for later positions as the pool fills; a position keeps the rate it entered at. The ⚡ others gain from locked tokens rises at once and returns to normal over weeks.
- The lock contract's keys are deleted: nobody can fix a bug in it or change its terms. Its admin can only start it and set the rate for new positions (raises 24 hours after notice, cuts one hour after, at most 120 % a year).
- Send tokens to the lock only through the stake page (a transfer with a message). Tokens sent to it with a plain transfer are not booked to anyone and cannot be recovered.
Code
- The contracts and the API are software; they can have bugs. The code is public and reviewed; that lowers the risk, it does not remove it.
- Until trading opens the token account holds a full-access key, kept by the team: it switches the token to its plain code on trading day and could deploy other code until then. Right after the switch every key of the token account is deleted, and the deletion is published.
Market
- The pool is thin at first; prices can move a lot on small trades.
- Airdrop tokens cannot move until trading opens.
