The rules
Numbers marked live are read from the API's configuration as you load this page.
The stake
- Staked NEAR is never redeemable for tokens.
- Only a community staker takes back their own principal; exits take 2–4 days (up to 8 epochs).
- The NEAR side of trading fees is staked and belongs to the project. While the project runs, it pays for everyone's AI.
- The stake earns AI credits from the NEAR AI farm; the validator keeps the staking rewards.
⚡ Daily quota
- ⚡ refreshes at 00:00 UTC.
- 1 ⚡ = $0.0001 of AI at NEAR AI's prices (live).
- The day's budget = the credits the stake earned since the day before + unspent budget of the last three days (weights 70 / 20 / 10 %, live) + 1/30 of the long reserve.
- Balances are read once a day at 23:45 UTC (live); ⚡ for a day follows that reading.
- Your quota = your token balance at the previous day's reading ÷ all holders' × the day's budget.
- Accounts that earn no quota (live): brrrain.near, dclv2.ref-labs.near, drop.brrrain.near, keeper.brrrain.near, lock.brrrain.near, pot-7f3a.brrrain.near, token.brrrain.near, treasury.brrrain.near, v2.ref-finance.near.
- Inertia (live): a token held on both days loses at most 50 % of yesterday's quota per token a day before trading opens, and at most 5 % a day from trading day.
- During the airdrop ⚡ per token is capped; the cap starts at $5.5 per 1M tokens a day and rises 5 % a day (live). What the cap holds back stays in the budget of later days. The cap ends when trading opens.
- Unspent ⚡ is not lost: it feeds the next three days' budgets for everyone.
- Using the API or the chat needs at least 1 BRRRAIN in the account (live).
Requests
- A request reserves its maximum cost before it runs; the unused part comes back when it ends.
- At most 4 requests run at once per account, 60 a minute per key (live).
- An account has at most 20 API keys; a key may have its own daily cap.
- The API keeps metadata of each request (time, model, token counts, cost) and never the prompt or the answer.
Airdrop and referrals
- The airdrop comes in waves. Each wave goes to its own list of active NEAR wallets, scored from on-chain history up to a snapshot block chosen before the wave is announced; the scoring is published with it.
- An account can be in several waves; what it gets adds up. Each wave is claimed on its own, on chain, with the account's own gas.
- Each wave has its own budget on the distributor contract and a claim window, 30 days unless the wave says otherwise. The window can be extended, never shortened. What is not claimed in time goes back to the airdrop reserve and into the next waves; it is never burned.
- Within a wave, amounts grow with rank from the wave's minimum to its maximum.
- An account that signs in for the first time through a referral link is bound to its referrer for good.
- A referrer earns 3 % of each wave an invitee claims — on top, never taken from the invitee, within a fixed bonus pool.
Trading
- Transfers open once, for good; until then tokens cannot move.
- The market is one single-sided Rhea DCL position (1 % fee tier) that opens at a starting price set at launch; nobody can sell below it into the position.
- Pool fees are harvested: the NEAR side is staked, the token side pays stakers' rewards.
- A buy or a sell on Rhea pays a trading tax in BRRRAIN, at most 5 % a side; it goes to stakers once a day. Sending tokens wallet to wallet pays nothing.
- Stakers' claimed rewards unlock evenly over 30 days; a claim within a day of the last one joins it and unlocks from the later claim. Taken sooner, 80 % of the locked part is burned.
The lock
- Once trading is open, a holder can lock BRRRAIN for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and keep 0, 10, 25 or 50 % of the locked tokens' ⚡. The rest of that ⚡ goes to every other holder.
- Your quota counts your wallet balance in full, plus the kept share of each position: 1 000 000 locked at 10 % and 500 000 in the wallet weigh 600 000.
- A position earns BRRRAIN from the lock's pool at the rate fixed when it enters: the base rate for 12 months at 0 % ⚡ (shown live on the stake page), less for shorter terms and for more ⚡ kept, and falling as the pool fills (to a quarter of the start on a full pool). The whole reward is reserved at entry; the pool never promises more than it holds.
- The team sets the base rate, at most 120 % a year. A raise takes effect 24 hours after it is announced on chain, a cut one hour after (the stake page shows both). Neither changes a position already open. At 0 nobody can lock.
- The reward accrues every day and can be claimed at any time; the tokens come back after the term. There is no early exit. The kept ⚡ share can be raised at any time, never lowered.
- The pool opens 10 % on the start day and the rest evenly over a year. Two years after the start, what it never promised is burned.
- The lock contract's keys are deleted after it is deployed; its admin can only start it and set the base rate. The rules above are the code.
