BRRRAIN

How BRRRAIN compares

How BRRRAIN differs from other tokens that give their holders something.

  • You only hold it. ⚡ comes for the BRRRAIN in your wallet: no staking, no lock, no claim each day. Sell and the ⚡ stops from the next day.
  • ⚡ is not a token. It is a daily allowance in the BRRRAIN API, spent on AI requests. It cannot be sent, sold or traded, and nothing is minted for it.
  • The AI is paid by staked NEAR, not by the token. The NEAR in NEAR AI's farm earns AI credits: the team's stake, the community's and the NEAR part of trading fees. No new BRRRAIN is ever minted to pay for anything; the supply is fixed.
  • Staking means staking NEAR, not BRRRAIN. Stakers lend the AI their NEAR, take it back when they like and earn BRRRAIN from trading fees and the trading tax.

Compared with:

  • Venice (VVV). In Venice you stake VVV to get a share of its daily AI capacity, and staked VVV can be locked to mint DIEM, a token worth a fixed amount of API credit a day. VVV is not a memecoin, and stakers also earn newly issued VVV. In BRRRAIN you only hold the token, ⚡ is not a token, and no tokens are issued as rewards.
  • Memecoins that pay holders in stocks or other assets. Typically a tax on trading volume buys tokenized stocks, which are handed to holders. Their payouts depend on trading volume and are assets you can resell. In BRRRAIN the AI comes from staked NEAR, so it keeps coming on days without trading, and ⚡ is spent on AI, not resold.
  • Dual-token projects. A dual-token project has two tokens with different jobs, such as one to invest in and one to use. BRRRAIN is one token; ⚡ is an allowance, not a second token.
